Apple will reportedly release two version of the iPhone 6: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. This has become a major point of interest as Android phones have been available in various sizes before. According to analysts, the large screen options under Android have made the platform more preferable for some buyers. If Apple will be releasing two variants then it can tap the big screen group that Android has been benefitting from. How will the iPhone 6 compete against popular Android phones today? Will the big screen differ?

According to a member of MacRumors forum, Apple's iPhone 6 will compete against a good number of popular Android smartphones once releases. Likewise, it has been reported that the iPhone 6 will feature an extremely thin bezel on both sides. This should add a more interesting twist to the device. If Apple will not change its affinity for vertical symmetry then the device will be taller compared to most Android smartphones measuring 4.7 inches.

According to the comparison, the iPhone 6 should be taller compared to the LG G2 and the Nexus 5. The devices measure 5.2 and 5 inches respectively. However, despite the changes in changes, Apple may still be a dwarf compared to the likes of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Other reported features of the device include a new slide unlock pattern similar to Android. The unlock feature will allow users to choose the pattern they want to serve as pass code for the device. Likewise, the next iPhone 6 may feature a mobile payments system. The tech giant has reportedly been coordinating with payment partners to push for brick-and-mortar payment system related to iTunes.

The iPhone 6 will be released around the third quarter of this year according to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. Apple has not made official announcements about the upcoming smartphone and its features.
