Fresh iPhone 6 Video Shows One-Handed Operation and Camera Changes; Production Delay of 5.5-Inches Variant Tipped

The Apple iPhone 6 is going to be launched today and the iPhone 6 specifications were already listed by China Mobile. Recently, ZDNet had reported that China Mobile started an online booking page for iPhone 6 for pre-ordering it before the official launch on Sept 9.

China Mobile that is the largest carrier service in the world has listed the hardware specifications of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Here they are:

  • 4.7-inch display screen will support a display resolution of 1134 x 750 pixels.
  • The display will come housed with a sapphire glass covering. Previous rumors had claimed that only the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet would feature sapphire glass.
  • It will be powered with an A8 processor. Leaks from multiple sources indicate it is a dual-core 64-bit processor.
  • The rear will feature an 8 MP shooter whereas a 2.1 MP camera will be available above the display.
  • It will be available with inbuilt storage options of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. Like before, the new 4.7-inch iPhone 6 won't feature an expandable memory.
  • It will be running on iOS 8.
  • It measures 138 x 67 x 7.7mm.
  • It will be available in three colours, black, white and gold.
  • It supports nano-SIM card.
  • It possesses a water and dust resistant body.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple iPhone 6 with 5.5-inch display screen is going to come out with the name -- iPhone 6 Plus. Previously, it was speculated that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet would be rolled out as iPhone Air or iPhone 6L.

It would be first time that Apple would be using a "Plus" suffix for its mobile offerings. The iPhone 6 Plus would feature optimised version of iOS 8 to run landscape apps. In the past, Apple had sold a Macintosh Plus computer.

Nothing much is known the hardware specifications of iPhone 6 Plus but it is certain that it will be decked with advanced internals compared to the 4.7-inch iPhone 6.

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 as well as the iPhone 6 Plus are slated to be get officially announced today. The iPhone 6 Plus is expected to come out in the market later this year whereas the 4.7-inch is expected to be available for purchase by Sept19.
