After new iPads made no appearance in the recently concluded press event of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, rumours jumped back to the release date on fourth quarter.

According to the KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, new iPads may come in the fourth quarter of the year. In his latest note, Kuo said initial production of iPad models will enter full-scale mass production on Q4 2013. Kuo has a strong reputation when it comes to Apple-related rumours.

In the note, Kuo also said that Apple will also offer a non-Retina version of iPad Mini as a low cost version of the iPad Mini.

According to Ming Chi Kuo, iPad 5 features will include an A7 processor; support for 4G/LTE connection; 5MP rear shooter and internal storage up to 128GB.

However, Apple has not confirmed the rumours surrounding the iPad 5 release date as well as the iPad 5 features. But the recent iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C launch hinted on some of the iPad features we might see in the alleged October launch of the devices.

Below are some of the confirmed iPad features based on the iPhone 5S, 5C launch event.

A7X processor - iPhone 5S packs an A7X 64-bit processor, which claimed to offer faster and better performance compared to its predecessor. iPad 5 may include this processor.

Fingerprint sensor - iPhone 5S boasts fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button. This feature may also appear in iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 to add more security in the tablets.

Colours - Aside from the iPod Touch, iPhone gets different hues. The rumoured low cost version of the iPad Mini may also get tints of colour.

Better Camera Software - Apple did not increase the megapixels of its iPhone camera but it said that it improved the camera software to deliver high quality and better photos. iPads may also get this new software and we should not hope so much that Apple will increase the MPs of iPads' camera.

iOS 7 - Lastly, it is a no-brainer that iPad 5 will receive iOS 7. However, it is important to cite that iOS 7 delivers new features such as iTunes Radio as well as a new design.
