Tech giant Apple finally announced the new iPad Air at the recent unveiling event.

Apple introduced a thinner and lighter iPad this year, which is 30% lighter than previous iPad model. iPad Air has narrower bezels just like iPad's miniature version. iPad Air retained its 9.7 inches retina screen display and added the new 64-bit A7 processor.

However, it is best to buy the fourth generation of iPad than the recently introduced iPad Air.

The iPad 4 and iPad Air have similar features. Both tablets pack the same 5MP and 1.2MP back and front camera; screen size and retina display; storage options and other specifications. In relation to this, some of the new software features of the new iPad Air brought about by the iOS 7 will also come to the iPad 4 since you can upgrade the latter to the latest Apple's mobile software.

The new iPad Air offers quite a few new and improved features. Some of the new features included in the new iPad Air are thinner and lighter build as well as the 64-bit A7 processor. Aside from that, the latest generation of iPad offers nothing more.

With the release of the new iPad Air, the iPad 4 price will be marked down from t$499 to $449, which is $50 less. It is unfortunate that Apple already pulled out the iPad 4 silently from its online store. iPad Air and iPad 2 are the two full-sized iPad that are available in the Apple's website. However, consumers may try out third party retailers and resellers where one can probably purchase the previous iPad 4.

Lastly, there are a lot of deals and discounts that will emerge on former iPads as retailers will continue to exhaust the remaining inventory and the holiday season is coming up.

US Retailer giant Walmart will offer the new iPad Air for $479 on November 1. Interested buyers may trade-in their old iPads and can receive up to $300, which they can use to buy the new iPad Air. iPad 4 with retina display price also dropped to $449. Buyers may bring their old tablets to an electronics department associate in their local Walmart or Sam's Club.
