iPad Air and iPad Mini with retina display

Apple unveiled its refreshed iPads at the recent press event.

Apple introduced the thinner and lighter iPad Air that is way lighter than the fourth generation of iPad 4. iPad Air kept its 9.7 inches retina screen display with narrower bezel. Moreover, iPad Air is powered by the same processor of the recently released iPhone 5S - the 64-bit A7 processor.

The new iPad Mini, on the other hand, will include a retina display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 with 326 ppi. The miniature iPad is also powered by the 64-bit A7 processor. The new iPad Mini also offers more storage options and consumers can choose among 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants.

Both iPad Air and iPad Mini with retina display are pre-installed with iOS 7, which boasts new and improved features such as expanded iTunes Radio, Control Center, and AirDrop. Moreover, both tablets boast a battery capacity of up to 10 hours.

Below are the five reasons why it is best to buy the new iPad Mini with retina display than the iPad Air.

Retina display - Both packs a retina display. This is the first time that iPad Mini received such feature. According to Apple, fans requested retina display to the next iPad Mini.

Same features and specs - iPad Air and iPad Mini have more specifications and features that are the similar. iPad Air and iPad Mini with retina display both have 5MP and 1.2MP back and front camera and the same screen and camera resolution. One could say that the new iPad Mini is really the miature version of the iPad Air.

More portable - The biggest difference between the two iPads is the screen size. iPad Air retained its 9.7 inches screen display while the iPad Mini with retina display kept its 7.9 inches screen size. Although the new iPad Air now weighs much lighter than the new iPad Mini, the latter is smaller and can easily fit in bags.
