There are a lot of companion apps and mobile games coming after recently released games. Be it an extension of the experience with "Final Fantasy 14's" companion app or an added adventure with "Rayman Fiesta Run," check out these game apps rolling out before this year ends.

'Assassin's Creed Pirates'

In the upcoming "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag," you will be taking on the shoes of Edward Kenway to explore the open seas of the Caribbean. For mobile gamers, you will be stepping into the shoes of Alonzo Batilla for the "Assassin's Creed Pirates" game.

IGN reports that you will have the ability to customise ships, recruit members and explore a map that features islands, mangroves and landscapes. You will be able to learn about the La Buse treasure and discover more about Templars and Assassins.

Though considered a companion app, the story does not cross with "AC4," but they will both be set in the 18th century.

'Infinity Blade III'

Bigger worlds, bigger bosses and better graphics---these are the things that can be expected of the upcoming iOS game, "Infinity Blade III."

According to Epic Games, what makes this game optimised for the two newest iDevices, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, is that the game will run on the new A7 processor to display the killer graphics that is surprising even for a mobile game.

The Verge reports that players can take on two characters, and even choose a female warrior as well as battle a dragon as a final boss.

In another report from GameSpot, it was also mentioned that Infinity Blade III may be the biggest mobile game yet, as it will be eight times larger and have downloadable content after the launch.

The game is slated for a September 18 release on the iTunes App Store for $6.99. Those who are not thinking of buying the two new devices need not worry, because "Infinity Blade III" is compatible with older ones like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.

'Tales of Phantasia'

Japan can expect a new game for "Tales of Phantasia," with developer Jupiter at the helm of the project.

Based on the "Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition of 2006," Joystiq reports that this new iOS game will have the same touch-based control and micro-transactions. In addition, paid DLCs in the form of 11 chapters will roll-out once the game is in the iTunes App Store.

The game is still slated for iTunes App Store in Japan, with no word yet on whether it will also be released in outside territories.

'Rayman Fiesta Run'

Gamers have just been enjoying Rayman Legends, but now Ubisoft has announced that it will be releasing a mobile game for the iOS, Android and Windows 8 devices as early as this coming fall.

Titled "Rayman Fiesta Run," it is almost like a sequel to the previous "Rayman Jungle Run" and will feature 75 levels, reports Polygon. There will also be four world, boss battles and Invasion modes.

'Final Fantasy 14: Libra Eorzea'

Technically out in the iTunes App Store, this companion app for "Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn" from Square Enix is a free to download and play app.

Eurogamer reports that the app is accessible offline via game database, character profile viewer and more features slated for release in the future.

According to the report, you can use your FF14 account to review your character information and learn the gear and profiles of other characters.

Android device owners can expect a version for the OS, which is currently in development.
