Samsung has not announced the upcoming Galaxy Alpha (aka Galaxy F and Galaxy S5 Alpha) thus far. Samsung Galaxy Alpha is one of the upcoming high-end smartphones from the South Korean conglomerate. Apparently, the Galaxy handset is expected to give tough competition to the upcoming Apple iPhone 6. With umpteen leaks making rounds for the past few weeks, the Galaxy Alpha is now listed in none-other-than Samsung's official Web site.

Interestingly, Phone Arena has discovered that a total of five models of the Galaxy Alpha will be released by Samsung. Several photos of the alleged Alpha handset leaked last week disclosing the model number SM-G850F. The reported model number SM-G850F is associated with a User Agent profile in Samsung's official Web site. In addition to this model, there are four other models ferreted out by the same publication. This includes the User Agent profiles of SM-G850A, SM-G850T, SM-G850M, and SM-G850H.

Aforementioned model numbers seem to feature the same 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. This resolution is in-line with the earlier reported resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Also, complimenting the screen resolution is a 4.8-inch display. The device will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. In addition, details pertaining to the CPU frequencies are revealed in the latest leak. The SM-G850M, SM-G850H and SM-G850F variants will be clocked at 2.5 GHz, while the SM-G850A model will be clocked at 2.3 GHz.

Decoding the model number based on the previous Galaxy smartphone models, Phone Arena opines that the SM-G850A is the Galaxy Alpha variant marked for AT&T, whereas the SM-G850T model number pertains to T-Mobile. Moreover, the international variants could be SM-G850H and SM-G850F.

On the contrary, GSM Arena opines that model number SM-G850H could be the 3G-only model of the Galaxy Alpha specific to selected markets. Also, SM-G850F could be marked for Europe, while the number SM-G850M is likely a Vodafone version of the handset. Readers should note that, even though the model numbers are from Samsung's site, the regions and carriers are mere speculations by credible publications.

The reported key features of the Galaxy Alpha includes premium-looking metal/aluminium exterior, fingerprint sensor and hear rate monitor. Furthermore, leaked images of the Galaxy Alpha handset in white and black hues can be checked out from Phone Arena.

If rumours are true, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha launch date is set for Aug. 13. Notably, the other high-end upcoming device from Samsung is the Galaxy Note 4 scheduled for a September release in IFA 2014.
