5SOS will join Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood at 2015 AMA
5 Seconds of Summer will join Selena Gomez and Carrie Underwood as performers at the 2015 American Music Awards. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC and will be hosted by “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez.
5SOS, Gomez and Underwood will each take the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angles on Nov. 22, according to Billboard. The music awards ceremony is dominated by Taylor Swift with six nominations and Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd with five nominations.
The AMA nominations are based on social media activity, sales and airplay. The winners are selected by fans by voting online.
All of the three 2015 AMA performers have new albums. Gomez recently released an album while 5SOS and Underwood are about to release their albums on the same date.
On Oct. 9, Gomez released her second studio album titled “Revival,” which is her first album with Interscope and Polydor Records. Among the 11 songs from the album are “Kill Em with Kindness” and a collaboration song with ASAP Rocky titled “Good for You.”
On Oct. 23, Sony Music Nashville will release Underwood’s fifth studio album titled “Storyteller.” The album as 13 songs including “What I Never Knew I Always Wanted,” “Like I’ll Never Love You Again” and its lead single “Smoke Break.”
Moreover, on Oct. 23, 5SOS will release their second studio album titled “Sounds Good Feels Good.” Among the 14 songs from the album, “She’s Kinda Hot” and “Hey Everybody!” were previously released.
After the release of their second album, the 5SOS boys will prepare for their summer tour in 2016. Among the countries they will visit are Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the United States and the United Kingdom
