Google's Nexus 5 smartphone continue to make waves. The hype has been building around the product for some time now. The internet giant has also been starting to claim the "tech giant" title. It's Nexus series remain as one of the most successful product lines especially the first and second generation Nexus 7. According to reports, Google will be releasing their Nexus 5 smartphone some time this October. What can people expect?
LG Remains as Google's Smartphone Partner
LG was the company behind Google's Nexus 4. Google reportedly decided it is best for LG to continue their smartphone line and product Nexus 5. The recent leaks about an LG manual strengthen claims that LG will be creating the device. Likewise, the supply chain of the company also tells that Google has not changed manufacturers for the smartphone line.
Large HD Screen
Many sources cited that Nexus 5 will be called as such as a reflection of its screen. The device will feature a 4.9-inch display. There are no clarifications yet why Google or LG did not decide to create 5 inches or more of the display. Nonetheless, there are some sources saying that LG did not want to overshadow their flagship product with the Nexus 5.
Improved and Bigger Storage
Specs-wise, recent leaks do not hint major overhaul from Nexus 4 features. Though according to reports, the storage looks better for this coming version. Previously, Nexus 4 only came in 8GB and 16GB options. There is no additional information yet whether Google plans on releasing two variants based on the storage capacities.
Notification Light
The Nexus 5 will reportedly come with the notification light users seemed to love from the previous model. Reports also suggest that the Nexus 5 will feature a similar support mechanism for near-field communication and wireless charging.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
Many of today's highly rated Android smartphones run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The Nexus 5 will be no different. The Nexus 5 will come with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 plus 2GB RAM.
LTE Support
One of the biggest concerns about the Nexus 4 is the lack of LTE support. Google will be responding to that with the Nexus 5. According to reports, the tech giant will finally include the LTE capacity in their next smartphone.
