Ematic released a budget Android tablet called Genesis Prime and hopes to break into the market. It boasts an affordable price of $79.99, featuring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This too-good-to-be-true product has massive specs as a deal breaker.

The Ematic Genesis Prime comes with 7.0-inch capacitive multi-touch display screen, 1.1GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 4GB internal storage, 5GB cloud storage, 512MB of RAM, front-facing VGA camera shooter, USB 2.0 port and 4.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. The device features Google Now and other Google services.

"With Google Play, we were able to bring an entirely new digital experience to our consumers. Intuitive and exciting, this tablet is ideal for work or play with faster Web browsing capabilities and endless possibilities for entertainment. Google Play is a digital content experience providing access to music, movies, television shows, books, magazine, Android apps and games. Users can browse this online market from the Web or Android device for content to stay entertained for hours," said Roy Rayn, president of Ematic, in a press release.

The device has a feather-light weight of 0.59 lb which is 2 ounces less than the Nexus 7 and comes with HD video player. The main selling point is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed for such as low price. Consumers can make orders at Amazon.com but would have to wait a little bit for the shipment.

Ematic offers several devices such as Fun Tab for educational and entertainment purposes designed for kids and a 9.7-inch tablet called EGlidePro X. The tablet runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1.2GHz processor, 8GB internal storage with 32GB expansion slot, front and rear camera and Wi-Fi connectivity.
