87th Academy Awards: Lady Gaga Makes Red Carpet Appearance Wearing Red Gloves, Sings 'Sound Of Music' Medley
Lady Gaga sent the social media, especially Twitter, buzzing, as she appeared at the 87th Academy Award red carpet wearing bold red, gardening gloves. Later, the stunning singer gave a special performance and according to TV Line, it was an entertaining and phenomenal performance.
According to People, Gaga appeared on the Red carpet wearing a white glittery couture gown designed by Azzedine Alaia, paired with elbow length flared-out red gloves. NJ has reported that the tomato red gloves drew immediate attention and left people wondering if she has been dishwashing prior to her appearance or will be going for it post her performance. Twitter was abuzz with the dishwasher memes as a reaction to her unusual accessory, which covered up her heart shaped engagement ring.
Gaga told the reporters that her dress was custom made by the extremely talented Azzedine Alaia. Heat World quoted Gaga’s Instagram post saying, “I will never forget tonight. #Oscars thank you Azzedine Alaia for this stunning piece. It took 1600 hrs of embroidery and 25 people in Paris, he’s never before made a dress for the Oscars."
MTV has described her look as "WOW SO RED-ness" with her lips and hair foliage drenched in red to match the red gloves. According to the report, she wore so much of red colour that her slick-back hair and crisp white dress went unnoticed.
Gaga's medley of hits from the 1965 Academy award winning film, "The Sound of Music," was a special tribute to celebrate the film’s 50th anniversary. The movie star Julie Andrews joined her towards the end of her performance.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old singer spoke about her recent engagement to Taylor Kinney at the Red carpet. She said that Kinney is extremely supportive and wonderful, but they have not planned on anything yet as she has been busy rehearsing for her act at the Oscars.
