Thanks to the unprecedented pre-orders and sales of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung shifted the release date of its Galaxy Note 4 in South Korea from October to September. The company is also expected to go for an aggressive promotional strategy across the globe to fight it out with Apple. With Galaxy Note 4 readying for a release in South Korea on September 26, we have listed down the information pertaining to the release date, price and killer features.
Price And Availability
On September 24, Samsung organised "Galaxy Note 4 World Tour" in Seoul revealing the much-required information on the availability of the beastly handset in other parts of the world. As mentioned earlier the official launch date of the Note 4 is tomorrow. Following the South Korean release, the device will hit the store shelves of 140 countries by October end, according to GSM Arena.
Even though the pricing details will differ for different regions, the Galaxy Note 4 will be available for $920 equivalent (KRW 957,000) in South Korea starting tomorrow. It is worth noting that out of all the Note series of devices released so far, the Galaxy Note 4's pricing is the cheapest. Notably, the phablet can be pre-ordered in the U.S. now. In specific, the Note 4 can be availed from AT&T and T-Mobile starting October 14.
In case of South Korea, the pre-order window has been closed, thanks to the thumping demand. Also, all three major network operators namely SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus are out of stock now. However the notable fete is that, South Korea's biggest and note-worthy carrier SK Telecom's pre-order window went out of stock within 9 hours of going live.
Stand Out Features
1. Apart from the improved S-Pen stylus and the multi-window features, the Galaxy Note 4 sports an impressive 16 MP rear-facing camera unit with Smart Optical Image Stabiliser. The OIS has the capability to balance out the camera shake and can also stretch exposure time if the area is gloomy.
2. The 3.7 MP snapper unit at the front comes with f1.9 and provides 90 degree shooting angle, in addition to 120-degree wide angle. Meaning, the Galaxy Note 4 users can capture "wide selfies" or "wefie," as Samsung calls it.
3. Additionally, the Galaxy Note 4 houses a "Fast Charging" mechanism that can charge the phone from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes.
4. Thinking about saving more power? Samsung got that covered. The "Ultra Power Saving Mode" on the device allows activating only the required apps, in order to save battery charge at crucial times.
5. The Galaxy Note 4 comes with a metallic frame covering the sides, which promises extra protection by limiting the damage from accidental fall. Moreover, there is a 2.5D glass screen that takes the viewing experience to a whole new level. The rear panel, on the other hand, is covered with soft-textured material that guarantees comfort to operate the phablet using one hand.
Lastly, the Galaxy Note 4 will be offered in Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink. However, not all colours will be widely available.
