Acer Unleashes a 24-inch All in One PC Running on Tegra 3 Processor
Acer wants to make an impression and they may successfully do so with the new 24-inch all in one personal computer. While the market has been witnessing big and constant releases of laptops and tablets, Acer diversified from that and introduced an impressive 24-inch PC. The device runs on Tegra 3 processor.
The Tegra 3-based device runs on Android. The company previously introduced an Android-based computer back at the Mobile World Congress. This time, the company revealed the second generation of that computer. Following the IFA, the DA241HL is a 24-inch touch device featuring the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
The latest computer from Acer runs on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. Most NVIDIA chips can be found on mobile devices but now it made its way to a larger unit - personal home computers. Acer claims that they designed the DA241Hl to provide consumers with a similar computing experience normally found on smartphones and tablets.
The same idea explains why Acer decided to use Android as the operating system. The company wants to combine a mobile but more comfortable experience with their computer. Inclusion of the Android platform allows users to access Google Play. The device features an MHL connectivity meaning the AIO can serve as a monitor along with a two-point touch feature.
The 24-inch personal computer from Acer will hit stores this October.
Acer also announced that it plans to roll out three additional desktops. All desktops will have a full HD 23-inch touch display. The first, Aspire U5-610 is an Intel Haswell-based device featuring NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M GPU and up to 16GB of RAM. In terms of high end quality, Acer noted it is the most superior of the three desktops.
The Aspire Z3-105, on the other hand, will run on the latest AMD A series quad-core CPUs with Radeon graphics. It caters more to people looking for an entertainment oriented computer. It also features Dolby Home Theater surround sound and Harman Kardon speakers. The U5-610 and Z3-105 will hit stores this December.
Lastly, the Aspire Z3-610 will run on a Haswell processor plus optional NVIDIA GPU or Intel graphics. This will be available next year in January.
