Acer announced its latest notebooks called the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and 14, which runs Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows 10. The two versions of Acer’s newly released notebooks sport 802.11ac wireless technology and Intel’s latest mobile processors, according to reports.

Acer issued an official press release, in which it said, Aspire One Cloudbook Series is 17.9mm thin. While the 11-inch model weighs just 1.15 kg, the 14-inch model weighs only 1.6kg. The notebook also features a mineral gray cover with dotted textile pattern and it offers full-sized HDMI, USB3.0, USB2.0 and SD Card ports that eliminate the need for additional adapters. Other features include a full-sized chiclet keyboard and large touchpad supporting Windows 10 gestures, which makes typing easier and delivers better navigation experience. The notebooks also get a 2GB of DDR3L system memory and a HD (1366x768) 16:9 LED-backlit display.

The notebooks also get a Acer’s cloud-enabled abApps, which includes, abPhoto, abMusic, abDocs, and abFiles, which allows consumers to easily sync their files and documents with their smartphones or tablets, in their own personal cloud. The notebooks are also equipped with dual digital microphones with enhanced digital signal processing (DSP), which eliminates the background noise making online calls clearer. It also allows better experience for Microsoft’s personal digital assistant, Cortana.

The Aspire One Cloudbooks 11 will be available in North America from this month at a price of $169 (AU$ 229) and in September the Cloudbook 11 will be available in EMEA at €269 (AU$ 398). The Aspire One Cloudbook 14 will be available in North America in September with prices starting at $199 (AU$ 270), and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €299 (AU$ 443). The company has said that the specifications, prices and availability of the Cloudbooks will vary in different regions.

This is not the only device from Acer, which will run on Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows 10. Last month, the company had unveiled its new Aspire E series with the new Windows 10 operating system. The new Aspire E series will be offered with a factory install of Windows 10. Besides sporting the latest OS of Microsoft, the models of Acer Aspire E Series will feature Intel's fifth-generation Core processors and a display of 15.6-inches or 17.3-inches, reports ZDNet.
