Service provider Adam Internet announced on Friday the roll-out in 2012 of its Business Cloud computing service in South Australia.

Greg Hicks, executive chairman of Adam Internet, said the new service will be hosted in Adelaide and would provide its customers confidence that their business critical information and data are locally stored.

Mr Hicks stressed that the company remains totally committed to the South Australian market even as it welcomed the new National Broadband Network that would ensure the availability of high-speed Internet access to more Australians.

He assured of Adam's commitment to the state amid reports that its long-time competitor, Internode, was sold to ISP iiNet. He described Internode as a worthy adversary and wished the company well under a new management and while it goes through a transitional period.

"We are ready to market with ADSL2+, with Naked DSL, and wth WiMAX services, and our customers range from residential through business to government and corporate," Mr Hicks said in a statement.
