Adele Album "21" Charts 13th Week At No.1 of Billboard 200, But Does She Have Throat Cancer?
Second Album Is Years Biggest Seller
Adele has reached a milestone that may help soothe her woes over her concert cancellations; her "21" album has charted its 13th week at the top of the Billboard 200. This milestone was reached whilst rumors flood the internet that she is suffering from throat cancer.
Despite having to cancel all of her scheduled 2011 performances as a result of throat surgery, Adele may have reason to smile as her second album "21" has reached its 13th week in the number 1 album spot of the Billboard 200 in America. But all may not be as it seems with her apparent vocal injury.
The powerful singer recently cancelled all of her concert dates for the rest of 2011 as the result of a suspected vocal chord hemorrhage but rumors have been circulating that the star may actually be suffering from throat cancer.
"She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat - and a full recovery is expected," claimed her management team.
There has yet to be any official denial from her team that the cancer rumor is false, and the speculation is fueled by reports that a vocal hemorrhage usually only requires rest, not surgery. With throat surgery a terribly risky process for a singer, speculation is rife that there is another reason for the star to follow through with surgery.
Whatever the problem, Adele will no doubt be cheered up by the news that her second album's 13 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 has not been achieved since the soundtrack to "Titanic" in 1998.
