The year 2011 has been filled with a lot of hit albums from artists like Adelle, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and a lot more.

2012 will surely be filled with a lot more.

When it comes to the pop genre, new hits are expected from upcoming albums of Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, Maroon 5, and the like. Lady Gaga gave a hint that she will come up with a follow-up album to 'Born This Way' in 2012. Katy Perry is also looking into becoming more mature while Madonna is aiming to collaborate with Nicki Minaj.

For the rock category, Green Day is set to debut some fresh tracks alomh with songs they previewed at a benefit in August. Legendary rockers, U2, is also set to cook up something for the coming year. Muse is also preparing fresh material for their fans, while Mumford & Sons already gave a teaser with a comeback song titled 'Ghosts.'

Finally from the hip hop side, the names that we should definitely look forward to hearing from would be Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Big Sean, Ludacris, Nas, and Lil Wayne amongst many others.
