"Amazing Race's" producer Jeff Rice dies in a tragic turn of events. Multiple reports have emerged in the past days of which are saying Rice had died of either a cocaine overdose or cocaine poisoning. With the latest autopsy report done on the producer, the truth has finally been revealed.

Jeff Rice along with his production assistant, Katheryn Fuller, had flown to Uganda last February 15. Both had plans to work on a documentary in the country however a few things had gone askew. Rice was found dead and his assistant, Fuller, was unconscious.

Earlier reports had claimed Rice was poisoned but Uganda Police Force Spokesman, Asuman Mugenyi had pointed out both were staying at a five-star hotel where only hotel staff were strictly allowed into guest rooms. A "supposed" poisoning was out of the question and was classified as a completely "wrong account."

"We heard reports that he was attacked by thugs," said Uganda Media Centre Spokesperson, Fred Opolot to E! News. "The hotel he stayed at was a 5-star hotel. The rooms can only be accessed by hotel workers or guests. No one can easily walk in an out. There's good security at the hotel. Those allegations are unfounded."

Now the most recent autopsy reports clear all the issues of suspected foul play. Autopsy revealed that Jeff Rice had actually died of a cocaine overdose. Large quantities of the drug were found in his stomach. Prior to the autopsy, when police officials arrived on the scene, Jeff Rice was seated and was bent over the table blood coming out from both his nose and mouth.

Investigators from the Analytical Laboratory from Wandegeya had also found a bag of white powder which tested positive not only for opiates but for caffeine, acetylcodein and acetaminophen.

Another proof that would further validate the cause of death of Rice as overdose over cocaine rather than a so-called failed shakedown would be the state of the victim and his production assistant's bodies.

"There was no struggle. These were two people in their room and there was not a single sign of a struggle. Not even a single bruise on Rice's body," said Mugenyi.

With all the investigations laid out and autopsy reports still going around, it still may not be concluded that Jeff Rice had died of a cocaine overdose. Addiction specialist from Stony Brook University, Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, says otherwise. Dr. Kardaras states that a large amount of cocaine found in the stomach is most likely the cause of forced ingestion or of a bungled smuggling operation.

"If someone were to snort very large amounts of cocaine, there could have been some trace amounts from nasal drip into the stomach. But if the concentration was found in the stomach, that's likely a result of smuggling or ingestion," says Dr. Nicholas.

"A typical overdose from the traditional methods of using cocaine is not going to be in the stomach. If it was found in his stomach, it could absolutely have been the result of poisoning if he was forced to ingest it." adds the doctor.

With Rice's assistant still undergoing recovery, there are still a lot of investigations underway plus hearing it from Katheryn Fuller would finally give a clear reason as to how Rice had died.
