Amazon Offers Great Deals On HTC’s Elusive Nexus 9
The HTC-manufactured Nexus 9 is considered as one of the best tablets in the market under 10-inches. According to Phone Arena's review, the 8.9-inch tablet happens to be the world's first tablet to use the Android 5.0 Lollipop as its platform and that's straight out of the box.
The Nexus 9 sports a minimalist design with its brushed metal frame and weighs 425 grams, making it lighter than Apple's iPad Air 2 which comes at 437 grams. Under its hood, the tablet is equipped with 64-bit version of the Nvidia Tegra K1 system-on-a-chip plus 2.3GHz dual-core Denver CPU and a 192-core Kepler DX1 GPU. It also comes with 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.
In addition, the Android Lollipop powered tablet comes with an amazing screen display with 2,048x1,536 pixels. It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and is equipped with HTC's BoomSound speakers placed on the front of the tablet, allowing the device to produce crisp and loud sounds. The Nexus 9 is also packed with an impressive 6700 mAh battery making it withstand about 8 hours of heavy use.
For consumers to compare, the Nexus 9 sports a smaller screen versus iPad Air's 9.4-inch display. HTC's device has the same screen resolution with Apple's flagship tablet and both devices have speedy Wi-Fi performance as well. Both devices also use powerful operating systems, Nexus 9 has the Lollipop as its platform while iPad Air uses Apple's own iOS 8, giving both tablets top performances. The Nexus 9's originally costs US$399 (319 pounds or AU$479), while its main rival, the larger iPad Air 2 costs US$499 (349 pounds or AU$619).
At Amazon's website, the 16GB Nexus 9 costs US$349, while the 32GB version is available for US$429. Techno Buffalo says that Amazon slashed US$50 off on the original price of the making its offer a good deal. Amazon has the black and white variants in stock but the retailing giant is unable to confirm on when the offer would last.
