‘American Horror Story’ Actor Ben Woolf Dies At 34, Ryan Murphy And Cast Mourn on Twitter
Actor Ben Woolf has died at the age of 34. The actor, who played Meep in Season 4, “American Horror Story-Freak Show,” succumbed to head injuries that he suffered when he was reportedly hit by a car in Hollywood. Woolf died on Monday, Feb. 23, according to multiple reports.
On Thursday, Feb. 19, the actor was hit in the head by the side-view mirror of a SUV while he was crossing a road, according to TMZ. The report has said that the “American Horror Story” actor was “jaywalking.” He was admitted to a hospital in a critical condition. Woolf’s organs are being donated and it has been reported that it is going to help about 50 people.
Woolf, who was 4 feet, 4 inches tall, made his first appearance on “American Horror Story” in Season 1. He portrayed the character of Infantata in Season 1, “American Horror Story-Murder House.” The actor’s role in “Freak Show” saw him biting the chickens’ heads off and swallowing them. Woolf’s Meep was framed for the murder of a police officer and he was killed in prison. According to Variety, the actor appeared in a total of five episodes of the series.
In a statement, the Woolf family has said that they are “overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work.”
“American Horror Story” actors and also the co-creator took to Twitter to mourn the death of Woolf. Evan Peters was the first to break the news about Woolf's death on Twitter. Ryan Murphy, co-creator of FX’s horror anthology series, paid his tribute to Woof on his Twitter feed, saying the late actor was one of the “most inspirational people” he has ever met. Series regular Sarah Paulson said that they will never forget Woolf.
