‘American Idol’ winner Candice Glover calls the ‘Idol’ rehearsal room her gym as she continues to shed weight since becoming the Season 12 champ for America’s most popular reality television show.

The 23-year-old winner from South Carolina has lost 30 lbs to date, and she attributed the astounding weight loss to her “new celebrity lifestyle.” Since coming out on top on the show’s Season 12 in May 2013, Candice has been hopping from one city to another and from one show to another, and this new lifestyle is what she sees could be helping her lose weight. In an interview with People Magazine recently, Candice claimed that she started losing weight three months before the finale.

“Over the course of the show, from January to May, I probably dropped 20 lbs. And I’ve lost about 10 more since the finale,” Candice was quoted as telling People by KPopStarz, adding, “It’s always good to be healthy, so I am happy about it.”

The upcoming R&B singer who may have disappointed when her first single, “I Am Beautiful,” came out with barely 54k downloads in its first week release - - which is by far the lowest in ranking of all the winners and their first week sales since American Idol began - - said her win comes with very “hectic schedule,” allowing her to “work out” at the same time. She and the rest of the Top final 10 of ‘American Idol’ Season 12 are preparing for the Idol tour set to begin this summer.

She said, “I've always – well maybe I haven't always – been comfortable with who I am. This weight is just dropping off because of my crazy schedule."

Candice claimed she had found her “new gym.”

She said, “I just walk a lot in the airports, and then we are rehearsing the choreography. I call [the rehearsal room] the gym, to be honest."
