“American Idol” 2015 Top 10 will perform live this Thursday (Mar. 19) at 8 p.m. on the U.S. network Fox. Adanna Duru, Tyanna Jones and Clark Beckham were among the Idol judges’ favourites in episodes 19 and 20. It remains to be seen if they make it through next eliminations.

“American Idol” 2015 judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr gave their thumbs-up to Adanna, Tyanna and Clark, among others in the previous week’s episodes. Adanna joins Quentin Alexander as the judges’ wildcard picks in AI Season 14. The three gave strong performances to stay in the competition.

Adanna Duru, 18, is not among the Top 10 Idol hopefuls who got in via public votes. JLo, Urban and Connick, Jr picked Adanna over Loren Lott and Alexis Gomez when the time for the wildcard pick was announced. From the guys, Mark Andrew and Adam Ezegelian failed to make it to AI 2015 Top 12.

Adanna’s take on Bruno Mars’ "Runaway Baby" proves this young woman may be a work in progress, but she already is a formidable force in “American Idol XIV.” The power she brings into an upbeat song and the intensity she shows when singing slower tunes show great flexibility that few AI 2015 candidates possess.

Twenty-two-year-old Clark Beckham’s delivery of James Brown’s "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" in the 19th episode of AI Season 14 is now a landmark number in “American Idol” history. It ranks among the most insane ranges ever heard and the deepest emotions ever felt from any Idol hopeful. It is also among the favourites on Idol’s YouTube page.

“American Idol” 2015 is giving way for “Empire” on Fox this week. But AI Top 9 performs on Mar. 25, Wednesday.
