‘American Pie’ Actor Jason Biggs Jokes About Flight MH370 While Commenting on ‘The Bachelor’ Juan Pablo

Jason Biggs, most famous for his portrayal of a confused teenager in American Pie, must not have recovered from his state of confusion yet as he casually joked about Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 while referring to the highly popular TV show The Bachelor.

Biggs’ joke about Flight 370 comes at a sensitive time when multiple nations are still extremely worried about what happened to the flight as it mysteriously vanished in the sky. The search for the missing flight with 239 passengers and crew from different parts of the world comes to the fifth day as there is still no trace of the missing flight. It is rather a curious coincidence that the world is crazy to know whom The Bachelor Juan Pablo chooses as his partner at a time when numerous families are spending sleepless nights worrying about the missing flight.

You can find Biggs’ joke either tasteless or hilarious, depending on how sensitive you are about Flight 370. Biggs joked about Nikki Ferrell, who won the finale of The Bachelor, being desperate to get an “I Love You” from Pablo. Pablo did not propose to Nikki even though she was selected as he was not sure yet. Nikki’s possibility of discovering the missing flight is more than being proposed to by Pablo, Biggs quipped.

Some may consider Biggs’ joke about Flight 370 as utterly insensitive as every sign which made people believe that the passengers are still alive is almost gone now. Now people have started being apprehensive that Flight 370 may be enlisted among those flights in the history that mysteriously disappeared in to the thin air without any trace.

Biggs is no stranger to creating controversies on Twitter. His earlier attempts included the circumcision of his son and breast feeding achievements of Jenny Mollen, his wife. This time several Twitter users did not, however, find his joke funny at all. On the other hand, one of the users (@SoNotBrendan) found it “funnier than all the American Pie movies put together.” Here are some of the tweets in reaction to Biggs joke.
