Amy Winehouse Disregarded Doctors' Warnings "Sober up or die"
How her death could have been prevented
During the singer's last rehab stint at London's Priory Clinic, one of her doctors deliberately warned her to "sober up or die", a serious statement the singer disregarded that led to her untimely death.
The late singer, who died on July 23, had a "last chance" treatment session with the doctors at Priory Clinic that led to a shocking prediction of recent happenings. One of the doctors, who didn't show the singer any kind of special treatment, warned the troubled singer to "sober up or die". According to a source who spoke to The Sun, the doctors had "no choice". "It's the last chance saloon for Amy. Doctors have come down hard on her because of the severity of her situation. It's a harsh reality but she had to hear it" says the source in a post by Aol UK.
"They are worried about her", continues the source in the same AOL UK post. "But she is there of her own accord this time and wants to sort herself out" adds the source in the interview. Obviously, the singer disregarded all warnings and continued binging on hard drugs such as heroin, crack, and the said cause of her death, ecstasy. Winehouse checked out of rehab in early June to prepare for her ill-fated European tour, which she had to cancel after 20,000 concert goers booed the singer in Belgrade, Serbia for acting intoxicated and flimsy onstage. According to an early report, the singer died due to a "bad pill" of ecstasy, huge amounts of alcohol, and an emphysema attack. If the singer had quit doing drugs and alcohol right after her stay at the Priory Clinic, she could have made it through a "bad pill".
After the morning of her death, fans paid tribute to the fallen singer by placing flowers, cards, and portraits of her in front of the London apartment where police found her body.
