Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the latest version of the most popular open-source mobile operating system in the world and now running on several high-end devices in the market. Version 4.1
Google Now - Using this feature will allow users to search places, things and people on the Internet in an whole new experience. It features an improved Voice Search, information cards such as calendar and weather and virtual assistance.
Knowledge Graph - A feature used for getting better search results with special information about places and people. It acts as if a virtual assistant and closely similar to Siri of iOS.
Expanded Notifications - A changes and improvement to the notifications bar allows it to display more details about the notification such as which device sent it and the contacts' email. If photo exist on your device, it's also displayed on the notifications bar. You can also choose to reply by "make a call" or "send a message" on the notifications bar.
Offline Voice Dictation - This feature allows the device to perform voice dictation when creating messages even without an Internet connection. It is fairly accurate but not perfect.
Camera Gestures - New gestures are added to the camera app and it allows user to swipe right to view recently photo taken. Pinch over the photos taken and you can now swipe across all the collection of images recently captured. And if you do not want some pictures, simply swipe down and the image is deleted with an option to "undo" just in case you made the wrong choice.
Project Butter - Introduced for the first time which makes the device's user interface to be "buttery-smooth" and respond faster to touch. Project Butter separates Jelly Bean performance from Ice Cream Sandwich.

All features from version 4.1 are carried over to 4.2 and comes along with new additions.
New Lock screen - The 4.2 Jelly Bean features a unique lock screen which allows you to swipe the lock screen to access the camera app, view widgets such as calendar or clock, and multiple swipes with multiple widgets without unlocking the device.
Gesture Typing - This is very similar to the Swype keys which makes you compose words faster by dragging letters and swiping through to keyboard to assemble words and phrases.
Quick Settings - It is located at the notifications bar of your device which allows shortcut toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Data, GPS and other icons.
Camera App - Packed with improvements and new features including the new focus ring, access settings by tapping on screen, and Panorama mode for both portrait and landscape images.
Photo Sphere - You can now create a 3D image using an Android phone powered by 4.2 Jelly Bean. The camera app weaves several images to generate a 360 degree Panorama photo. Using the Gallery app, you can have a 3D simulation of the Photo Sphere capture.
Gallery App - Aside from cropping, rotating, and inverting, the Gallery app can now add filter effects similar to Instagram and other photo-editing apps.
