People looking for another option against iPad Air may have their answer this coming November. Hewlett-Packard will reportedly be releasing an Android 4.4 KitKat-based 10-inch tablet. Can HP finally go up against Apple?

According to reports, HP will be launching a 10-inch tablet running on Android this coming November. The tablet remains a mystery, but sources say the tech manufacturer wants to get a piece of the holiday market. Consumers often go on a shopping spree during the holidays, and tech products remain some of the most sought after and best-selling items during this time.

HP is reportedly brewing something up its sleeve. It seems the company wants to obtain a share of the tablet market. With Apple's iPad Air hitting stores in November as well, HP will be competing against the tech giant.

According to analysts, HP may have it tough competing with Apple's iPad Air. The product is as appealing to consumers with just the name "Air" attached to it. Analysts are expecting the iPad Air to fly off the shelves once they hit stores and holiday rush comes in. Still, the Android-based HP tablet may have a chance. Analysts think that running on the newest Android 4.4 KitKat will give Android-based tablets an appeal boost.

Consumers are getting more and more interested in picking up an Android tablet these days.

Other reported features of the HP tablet include, 6,760 mAh battery, SIM card support, dual cameras and a microSD card slot. Although an FCC leak confirmed the tablet will be running on an Android OS, some sources remain doubtful if this will be the Android 4.4 KitKat. It may be the Android 4.3 update, if not the 4.4.
