There has been much hype about Google's upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat. The latest update for Android gained much attention following Google's move to change its name to KitKat instead of Key Lime Pie. Many expect the newest Android update to set the standards for operating systems in both smartphones and tablets.

Reports suggest that Android 4.4 KitKat will likely come with Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 10. Nonetheless, the latest update says KitKat may also find its way to Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Mega very soon.

According to the latest, an internal Samsung KNOX document revealed that the Korean tech giant is planning on rolling out the Android 4.4 Kitkat to its devices soon. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega will receive the update as soon as possible.

The update will follow after Samsung updates their security apps. Nonetheless, it is important to understand that there are two Samsung Mega models: Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3. Based on UberGizmo's report, any of the two models can receive the update. This should still be good news as the model will feature the latest Androdi KitKat.

What can people expect from Android 4.4 KitKat? According to several reports, Google reportedly added new sections for Printing and Payments. Users can now complete NFC payments through the Payments section of their Android device. This means regardless of the carrier of the device, people will be able to connect to their accounts on the carrier directly. No need to use third party apps to settle dues and accounts.

Users can only proceed with native smartphone printing before using third party apps. The newest Android update will reportedly get rid of third party apps for this. Previously, native printing was only possible if the manufacturer of the printer develops an app for it. From the reports surfacing, it looks like Android will give room to native printing very soon.

Google has not released additional details about what people can expect from their Android 4.4 KitKat update. People will have to wait for official announcements and the actual release to find out more about the operating system. It should be worth the wait as Google promises an even better interface.
