Users of Android Jelly Bean powered devices should realise that Google already sent out segmented functions of Android 4.4 KitKat. Some of these are delivered by applications normally found in Nexus 5. Here are five apps which gives chocolate treats of Android 4.4 KitKat.

Ok Google

Google just released an updated version of Search app on the Play Store which now features 'Ok Google' function. Ok Google in Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 running devices can now control several phone functionalities such as messaging, email or music player using voice. However, not all devices are capable of doing it even with an updated Search app but get the newest cards, better search results and more from the upgrade.

Google Drive and Keep

Ever since Google Drive and Keep are free applications from the Play Store but they are now native in Android 4.4. Android users can update the two apps and gain benefit with the latest features and interface updated by Google.

QuickOffice

If your Android device doesn't feature a free office app or gets limited features, download the QuickOffice that supports Microsoft office documents, spreadsheets and presentations with syncing to Google Drive. You can now view your files from QuickOffice using Drive on your desktop, Android smartphone or Android tablet.

Hangouts

One of the most obvious Android 4.4 KitKat marker is the new Hangouts app version that supports both SMS/MMS capability. Google integrated the default messaging sending/receiving with the Hangouts online chat client and turns it into a messaging hub. In addition, Hangouts app can utilise several Gmail accounts, video chat and more.

Android Device Manager

All Android smartphones and tablet can access the Android Device Manager which tracks down your lost or stolen device. Regardless of Android version, a user can simply use a browser to send a ring to alert the device or erase then lock to prevent thieves from hacking your stolen phone.

Some of these apps just got new updates while other new services provided by Google are acting like in beta stage but Android users shouldn't frown for updates are always coming out to serve all Android devices better with 4.4 optimisation.
