Blue colour theme is gone and replaced by palette colour scheme which changes depending on the application in use. Dial pad and messaging are the most common among applications with notable change on its themes.

3. Notifications Bar

It is expected that the notifications bar will include several features from Android Jelly Bean version such as Actionable Notifications and Extended Quick Settings. In Android 4.4 KitKat, the icons in the notifications bar turned to white instead of blue, and the Key Lime Pie icon was also seen, but the function remains unknown - possibly the USB connection on a computer similar with Jelly Bean icon.

4. New Animations

Android 4.4 KitKat will feature new APIs for added animations on screen and application transitions. Overall experience is faster and animations are smoother compared before, all under the hood improvements of the next-gen Android OS.

5. Update Settings Menu

Another improvement is the new Settings menu which now features Printing. It is expected to be compatible with Google Now for direct printing image from the search service. Moreover, Payments and Wireless display or Miracast support is now included which allows wireless payment via NFC connection. Manage Mobile plan option can also be seen under Wireless and networks.

7. Syncing with Third-Party Applications

QuickOffice now syncs with Google Drive services and apparently included inside the Android 4.4 KitKat software as a default office application. QuickOffice is Google's own office type application which allows the user to create and edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
