Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Guide for Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and HTC One
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat roll out continues to several devices including Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and HTC One. According to reports, Verizon and Sprint HTC One M7 subscribers can now download the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update featuring Sense 6.0. Likewise, US Cellular has also issued Android 4.4 KitKat update for its Samsung Galaxy S3 line. Some subscribers may receive the update later than others depending on the region and the carrier.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update from Sprint and Verizon offers HTC's Sense 6.0 for HTC One M7. In terms of design, the Sense 6.0 does not move away much from the Sense 5. It does feature brighter and lighter colors allowing users to differentiate between the two interfaces. The latest software features an enhanced BlinkFeed. This offers users better social media experience by letting them monitor social media sites more conveniently. People can tailor their news feed according to preference. Some of the sites they can include in their feeds include Instagram, Google+, Foursquare and Facebook.
The Sense 6.0 marks HTC's increasing efforts to promote the Motion Launch application. This allows people to lock their devices and initiate applications through gestures. Other enhanced features include improved TV app and new Camera Gallery. According to Gossip Herald, Verizon has started rolling out the HTC One M7 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update starting June 3. Sprint, on other hand, has been providing the update in stages. Some subscribers may get the update sooner or later than others.
According to Android Geeks, US Cellular has also started releasing the Samsung Galaxy S3Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. The Android KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S3 offers more optimized applications like Google+ Hangouts, phone dialer and camera app. Aside from US Cellular, Sprint has only been the other carrier to provide the firmware for the same model. Other carriers have yet to follow. Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android updates have also yet to be completed. Users can clarify with their carriers about the release schedule.
