Android 4.5 for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and 10 Release in July
The release of Google's Android 4.4.3 update caused more problems than fixes expected. Many Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 users complained about WiFi connectivity issues, battery drain, lagging screen and Google Play Store issues. This sparked more interest over the upcoming Android 4.5 update with industry observers wondering what Google plans on doing to address these problems. According to recent information, the Android 4.5 update may be released a month following its introduction at the Google I/O event.
The main purpose of a mobile operating systems update is to provide better user experience than previous programs. More importantly, it is supposed to address problems from previous upgrade. It might not be the case for the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update as users reported more problems plaguing their devices. According to Android Origin, some of the reported problems include:
- WiFi and 3G Problems
-Random reboots more evident in Nexus 4
-Notification issues
-Battery drain
-Google Play Store error and lags
-Unidentified issues with Exchange ActiveSync
- Redesigned Android dialer lags
While resetting devices or returning to previous OS can solve problems, another systems update is often the best solution. According to Android Geeks, people may have to wait until July for another update as Google may release the Android 4.5 a month following its announcement. Whereas the company has not divulged details about the operating system, industry observers and analysts believe the internet giant will introduce the updated OS during the I/O developers conference.
It is important to note that the July release is just a speculation at the moment. The information is based on the company's history. For instance, the Nexus 7 and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update came out in July 2012. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 came out in October 2012. The Nexus 7 2013 edition and the Android 4.3 update hit the market in July 2013 while the Nexus 4 and Android 4.4 KitKat hit October. It appears Google has been sticking to particular timeline leaving analyst to believe strongly that the next Android update will come out this July. It should also be accompanied by a new device if the Google sticks to its tradition.
