Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Report: Google I/O 2013 Tickets Sold Out in Minutes?
Anticipation for Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie soared to new heights, while some Android fans were extremely disappointed to have missed their chance at getting a Google I/O ticket. "Google I/O is sold out," says the event registration page. Tickets went on sale for 50 minutes, according to Android Police.

The Google I/O annual event is a special occasion for Android developers to witness important keynotes and make important business connections. It will be held from May 15 to 17 this year in Moscone Center, San Francisco.
"Even at $900 a ticket ($300 for academic attendees), they sold out in 25 minutes last year," Android Police noted. Some readers commented and raised issues with the Google Wallet during their attempts at getting a ticket. Ticket buyers are learning more every year that to get to I/O, one has to be prepared, quick, precise, and highly strategic.
"This ticket buying is like a DDOS attack to google's server," writes user didibus.
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie announcements, a rumoured Nexus 7.7 and a new Google Nexus 5 (or Google-Motorola) flagship smartphone are some of the things observers wish to see at the 2013 Google I/O event. The unveiling of the rumoured Motorola X phone is also being pegged at the big developer event.
The Nexus 7 was unveiled at last year's Google I/O event. It was the first device to have been shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Pre-orders for the small tablet were taken on the same day. This year, the same thing could happen to Nexus 7.7, the rumoured new tablet that will strongly compete with iPad mini 2 and the just-unveiled Galaxy Note 8.
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will perhaps see the light of day on a new Google device in May this year. Until then, those who successfully got I/O tickets can celebrate for their win.
