The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 Active, along with LG G2 has reportedly been rolled out. Furthermore, Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is reportedly getting the Lollipop update as well.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 Active, LG G2 (AT&T)

Apparently, AT&T is on a roll as the carrier has sent out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 Active and LG G2 simultaneously. In any case, readers should note that, other versions of Galaxy Alpha pertaining to other carriers and international markets have apparently not received the Lollipop update yet, notes GSM Arena.

However, other versions of Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (international variant) and LG G2 have reportedly received Android 5.0 Lollipop update from carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile. Speaking of Galaxy Alpha, the OS update comes with a size of 1 GB and upon installing the update, the OS version should reportedly read Android 5.0.2. Plus, the build number should be LRX22G.G850AUCU1BOC6. In addition to the Lollipop changes, this software update reportedly removes the SoftCard app.

Moving on to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, the downloadable file is apparently 1.4 GB in size. Moreover, when the device gets the update, the OS version will apparently become Android 5.0 and the build number specific to S5 Active will be LRX21T.G870AUCU1BOC5.

In the case of the LG G2, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update reportedly removes the following: Browser Bar, AT&T Code Scanner, Famigo and Beats Music. Plus, the downloadable update size is only 725 MB. After downloading and installing the update, the device should reportedly read Android 5.0.2 and the software version should be D80030f.

In case, readers did not get the OTA update notifications, the software package can be manually checked from the handset settings. Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Verizon)

Verizon has apparently begun rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It is worth noting that, the successor Galaxy Note 4 has already received the Lollipop update. In case, readers did not receive notifications about the OTA update, the phone settings can be checked manually by navigating to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates. This update reportedly brings in the Material Design, lock screen, floating action buttons and a redesigned recent apps menu. To top it off, Samsung has apparently made changes to the TouchWiz UI and hence, the colours on the UI look bolder and brighter, plus the animations seem fluid.
