The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will soon be rolled-out to other European countries following LG’s mid-October release of Google’s latest mobile operating system to its premium flagship device, the LG G4, in Poland.

Earlier this month, LG G4 users in South Korea also received the latest v6.0 of Android operating system. Users on the Reddit forum of LG G4 have confirmed they’ve started receiving the software update notification.

The update will be rolled out to all users in Portugal, Romania, Germany, Spain, the U.K., Hungary, Switzerland and Croatia, reports GSM Arena. In the U.S, the OS will be soon released to LG G2, G3, G4 and G Flex 2, provided these phones are on AT&T, Sprint, Mobile and Verizon.

The recently released LG V10 that comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box is also expected to get the OTA Marshmallow update soon.

With the arrival of Marshmallow, the LG G4 will bring in battery optimisation, Knock Code mode, apps permission and Silent Mode. To reduce battery consumption, apps not in use for a certain period of time will automatically go to sleep mode. Knock Code will enhance the user experience of the latest operating system.

Users can now allow or deny permission before installing an app. The apps permission will notify the user and install an app only if the user grants permission. Furthermore, the new Silent mode appearing on the notification panel or volume panel will be added with the Marshmallow update.

The latest operating system will bring in a new look to the apps and memory settings. The user interface is simpler and easy to use. Additionally, the auto-brightness feature will automatically brighten the screen once the user reaches a dark place. In LG G4, QMemo+ notification has now been renamed Capture+ and LG Bridge has become LG AirDrive.
