"Angry Birds Go!", the kart racing version of the Angry Birds series, is going to be released on Dec 11 - according to Rovio Entertainment.

The Angry Birds racing game is going to hit the app stores all over the world to be available for free. The platforms it can be played on include Android, BlackBerry 10, iOS and Windows Phone 8. The game will feature all the familiar characters of the highly popular game. The game will be experienced in a 3D world which is 'fully rendered'. The special powers and the upgradable karts promise to offer a great source of an amazing gaming experience.

It was also mentioned in the announcement of the launch on Tuesday that there is going to be one special inclusion to the upcoming version of the game. It is the connectivity feature with telepods which have been created by Hasbro. These are a range of 'physical' toys which a user will be able to 'teleport' straight to the game. The telepods have already been a part of the Angry Birds gaming experience. It was first introduced in Angry Birds Star Wars II. The September version allowed players to teleport specific characters into the gaming zone.

Angry Birds Go! seems to be a significant departure for the ever-fighting pigs and birds. While we saw the birds trying hard to destroy the pigs and their habitats by all possible means, the upcoming version will show them getting engaged in a downhill race where the extremely popular Angry Birds characters move in cars. The trailer is already out on YouTube and it looks quite like any other popular kart racing game such as Mario Kart. The villainous pigs will race the heroic birds on the Piggy Island.

The telepods are going to available for purchase even before the game is launched in December. Angry Birds lovers can download the free version of the preview app to check how much they are capable.

Rovio indicated that the company plans to make it big with the very first racing version of the game.
