Apple (AAPL) to Release New Colors for iPhone 5S and Low Cost iPhone, Dual-LED Flash Possible?
The new features of upcoming Apple devices are based from the report of Japanese Macotakara. The report contains various information about the low cost iPhone, iPhone 5S and iPad 5. According to the report, the low cost iPhone will start trial production. It also claims the low cost iPhone will be available in different colors similar to the current iPod Touch 5.
The exact colors for the low cost iPhone are somewhat unclear since the report has heard from different sources. According to the initial source, the colors will be white, gray, navy blue and orange gold. The second source believes that the low cost iPhone will be available in yellow orange, blue, white, green and pink.
From the two sources, white is the common color and more likely to be true when the low cost iPhone is released. It can be noted that black is not among the options of the two sources.
The low cost iPhone is long rumored to be marketed in emerging markets in the developing world. It will be sold at a price estimate of $350-$400. The low cost iPhone will reportedly have a polycarbonate shell hence the lower price.
The Macotakara report also states that a few trial units will be made in June with mass production in July. The colored low cost iPhone is predicted to be included in the September launch. However, this information is a deviation from earlier reports of the low cost iPhone launching in 2014.
The report also claims the iPhone 5S will be released in different colors as well. The design will be similar to the iPhone 5 but the iPhone 5S is rumored to have a circular microphone hole at the back instead of the usual pill shape. It will also feature a dual-LED flash according to the sources.
