The iOS 8 was released last Sept 17 and very soon Apple rolled its first update last Sept 24 -- iOS 8.0.1. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners who installed this build started complaining that their handset started receiving poor network signals and the Touch ID stopped working properly, as revealed by GSMArena.

The iOS 8.0.1 build had brought minor updates for compatible devices. Our earlier report shows the list of iOS 8.0.1 bug fixes. BusinessInsider claims that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users were completely unable to make phone calls or access data after installing the update.

PhoneArena claims that Apple had quickly disabled the iOS 8.0.1 update and warned users to not to access the build. Apple had even added a guide for downgrading it.

Apple has already expressed regret for the iOS 8.0.1 fail by releasing an official statement which reads that iOS 8.0.2 was made available for all the users whose handsets were affected by iOS 8.0.1 build.

Apple has apologized for the bug in iOS 8.0.1. BusinessInsider claims that around 40,000 iPhone 6 models updated with iOS 8.0.1 were affected by it. GSMArena claims that the older iPhone models that were installed with iOS 8.0.1 did not show any issues.

The iOS 8.0.2 brings the same bug fixes that were listed for iOS 8.0.1. The update can be accessed when you are connected on Wi-Fi by going to Settings > General > Software Update. The iOS 8.0.2 build can also be installed by establishing connection between computer and the iDevice through iTunes.

Apple is being criticized by many iPhone 6 Plus for making the phablet so thin that it can be bent easily. According to PhoneArena, Apple is trying to defend itself by saying they have built the handset with high quality and durable materials.

The source claims Apple adds that only nine customers are facing the issue. Just when Apple is being plagued by the bendgate issue, it also disappointed the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus by rolling out bug ridden iOS 8.0.1 build.

Mashable claims that Apple has not disclosed the source of the iOS 8.0.1 issue. The source also claims that after installing the iOS 8.0.2 on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, they did not observe any issue with the cellular network and the Touch ID also functioned normally.
