New rumors about the iPhone 5 could indicate that tech giant Apple has yet to finalize the design of the device.

Tech website iMore released new details about the sixth generation of iPhone. According to the source of the Web site, Apple is still in the process of finalizing the design of iPhone 5 as it is still unclear if the device will sport a larger screen or alter the aspect ratio or discard the metal back panel.

According to the tech site, the smaller dock connector is being implemented. However, the company has not yet decided on the screen size or aspect ratio. The Home button will still be present. If change will be implemented on the screen size, it will not be bigger than 4-inches.

The site sticks to its previous reports that the next iPhone will be launched on October along with the 7-inch iPad and confirms that iOS 6 with the new map application will be released.

According to recent rumors, Apple's next generation iPhone will be thinner and feature a taller 4-inch display with a 9:5 aspect ratio.

Last March, iMore reported that iPhone 5, which will be available this fall, will feature the same 3.5-inch screen or something close. The device will also feature a micro dock connector and allow users to connect to 4G LTE like the new iPad.

There have been a lot of rumors about the new iPhone 5 such as it will be equipped with a variant of A5X chip, 1GB RAM in iPhone 4S/iPhone 4 casing. There is also a rumor that the next generation of iPhone will be released in June. However, other rumors say that iPhone 5 will be released in the fall of 2012, which will sport the same screen size; support 4G LTE like the new iPad 3 and will come with a new micro dock connector.

It is still unknown if Apple will call it the new iPhone (like the new iPad) or iPhone 6 (sixth generation iPhone) or as iPhone 5.
