Apple Inc admittedly has its more than fair share of lawsuits. Most of them the smartphone maker could probably just be shrugging if off. But this lawsuit from a lawyer who complained Apple let him access porn from his Macbook, which eventually destroyed his marriage and career, it definitely is one for the books. Seriously...not?

In his 50-page lawsuit, Nashville, Tennessee, lawyer and plaintiff Chris Sevier alleged the company sold him devices which gave him unlimited access to porn on the internet.

Apple Gets Slapped with a Lawsuit in which Complainant Lawyer Alleges Company Turned Him Into Porn Addict

In the filing, he claims that if Apple is "concerned with the welfare of our Nation's children, while furthering pro-American values" the company should indeed "sell all its devices in 'safe mode' with software preset to filter out pornographic content."

Essentially, Mr Sevier wants Apple to "set the example for all device makers," that Apple should equip all of its devices with strict controls on access to porn. Moreover, he wants the company to "take proactive steps to block pornographic images."

He said his life as a porn addict began when he tried to log on to Facebook.com through his Macbook. Accidentally mistyping the spelling of the social media site's url address, Mr Sevier said he was then led to F***book.com, an adult site that "appealed to his biological sensibilities as a male and led to an unwanted addiction with adverse consequences."

In a section of the complaint, the former lawyer accused Apple of facilitating unfair competition between his wife and porn stars.

"Before purchasing a Macbook, the Plaintiff never went to a strip club or sex shop of any kind. Before purchasing a Macbook, the Plaintiff had never seen pornographic images," the 31-year-old complainant said.

Excerpts of his complaint:

"UNFAIR COMPETITION AND INTERFERENCE OF THE MARITAL CONTRACT: The Plaintiff became totally out of synch in his romantic relationship with his wife, which was a consequence of his use of his Apple product. The Plaintiff began desiring, younger more beautiful girls featured in porn videos than his wife, who was no longer 21.

"His failed marriage caused the Plaintiff to experience emotional distress to the point of hospitalization. The Plaintiff could no longer tell the difference between internet pornography and tangible intercourse due to the content he accessed through the Apple products, which failed to provide him with warnings of the dangers of online pornography whatsoever."

Apple has yet to respond to this particularly obscure, yet one-of-a-kind complaint.
