iOS 7.0.X Current Issues

After several incremental updates under iOS 7.0, Apple confirms an upcoming iOS 7.1 update which will fix various issues reported on iOS devices running the latest OS, primarily iPhone 5S.

Springboard bug crashes and issues:

1. Instant crash of Springboard for no apparent reason

iOS 7.1 Update

Since the iOS 7.0.X version is still in beta stage, it is understandable that bugs occur naturally however, problems such as instant restart or shutdown and battery life loses are considered disturbing bugs which are supposedly not appearing in beta versions.

Apple is going to release iOS 7.1 update to fix the reported issues regarding Springboard crashes, suddent restart/shutdown, battery drops and white screen of death on iPhone 5S, iPad Air, iPad Mini Retina and iPod running iOS 7.0.X.

"We have a fix in an upcoming software update for a bug that can occasionally cause a home screen crash," Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller told Mashable.

iOS 7.1 official update is expected to be released by March 2014 which means owners would need to bear more on occasional errors on the current iOS beta version running the devices.

According to BGR, there are about six planned builds to be released for testing and the latest so far is iOS 7.1 beta 4 with build 11D5127c which should be released to developers as soon as it is already in the hands of Apple's testing partners.

In addition, iOS 7.1 update in March will include additional changes aside from bug fixes such as overhauled buttons inside Phone application, changes on the Power off screen and the long-awaited iOS Car feature.
