Apple iOS 8 Beta 3 Release on July 8

Apple's iOS 8 made headlines when CEO Tim Cook announced the company has been working on opening the platform more to developers. The more open structure or orientation of the mobile operating system will allow third party developers to explore more of the OS and offer additional functions and applications. According to recent information, Apple may be gearing up for the iOS 8 Beta 3 release this July 8. The release of the beta versions will allow developers to prepare ahead of time before the actual release of the iOS 8 this fall.

According to Apple Insider, it will take a few weeks more before developers can work on the third beta installment of iOS 8. BGR also reported about "trusted sources" saying that the iOS 8 beta 3 will be released at the start of July. BGR previously reported about initial beta releases of Apple that fell within the schedule.

If Apple will follow the reported scheduled then the release is later than anticipated previously. Often, Apple releases new beta builds to developers following a two-week interval or timeframe. Apple's iOS 8 Beta 2 was released last June 17. If Apple will release the third installment on July 8 then it will be more than the two-week schedule since the introduction of the first beta installment.

Nonetheless, this does not mean that Apple is running late for its fall schedule. In 2013, the company also released the iOS 7 Beta 3 on July 8. However, as Apple Insider noted, Apple hosted the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference a week later than this year so it was just within the 2-week deadline.

Based on the second iOS 8 beta, Apple has turned the podcast a native or built-in app for users. The second edition also introduced the latest QuicktType keyboard on the iPad offering typing or word assistance to users.

Apple's iOS 8 will come this fall offering Siri-based smart home control and third-party keyboards.
