Apple iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 October Release Date Roundup: Freshly Leaked Protective Case Debuts Unique Vent Alongside Camera
In the hullabaloo surrounding iPhone 6's launch, Apple iPads did not get their fair share of attention. With iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus unveiled and pre-orders breaking record, it is time for the tablets to take the limelight. A fresh leak showcases the upcoming Apple iPad Air 2 (aka iPad 6) tablet's protective rear shell with a unique opening alongside the camera vent. On the other hand, the iPad Mini 3 release date is likely pegged for October.
It is worth noting that, China's Apple iPad protective rear cover/case businesses are well known and many leaks have originated in the past from this country specific to iPads. Apparently, this is a massive business in China and the competition is quite rife. This is one of the major reasons the Chinese case manufacturers will have the answer to the exact dimensions and other configurations of the upcoming iPad Air 2 device, says GForGames.
This unique but small opening/orifice near the rear-facing camera could be a place holder for camera assisting unit like laser focus or a LED flash. Readers who are wondering, what is so unique about a LED flash? The answer is Apple iPads have never boasted a LED flash in the past. So this vent suggests that the upcoming iPad Air 2 might come with flash support for better photography, opines the same publication.
Shifting the focus to the upcoming iPad Mini 3, Apple is reportedly planning to release the device in October. Ming-chi Kuo, the credible Analyst from KGI Securities affirmed that the next-generation iPad Mini tablet will be introduced shortly. In his words, "We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with the same form factor," as reported by Huffington Post.
If reports are true, the iPad Mini 3 will feature the much-loved Retina display, thinner profile along with a 7.9-inch screen. Moreover, the same Analyst also opened that a gold variant will also be part of the next-generation iPad models. Thus, making the colour palette same as the iPhones. In addition, the upcoming iPads will come with a new screen coating for anti-reflection. There by viewing the iPad in day light should not be a problem. Also, Apple will reportedly house an 8 MP primary camera unit, reports Android Origin.
