Apple iPad Air 3 release date to coincide with launch of iPhone 5Se in H1 2016
Fresh speculations from well-known KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has led many to believe the iPad Air 3 will be released in the first half of this year. It will be launched to replace the older iPad Air 2 which was released in October 2014.
Kuo, who holds a consistent track record of revealing features and specs of forthcoming Apple products, added that the 4-inch iPhone 5se will also be launched in the first half of 2016. The iPad Air 3 and iPhone 5se are long-rumored devices from the Cupertino company.
The rumour mill has revealed the purported specs of the iPhone 5se. Since it will be a 4-inch smartphone, its form factor will be similar to that of the iPhone 5S. The 2.5D cover glass that is available on the iPhone 6S will also be available on the iPhone 5Se. However, it will not come with flagship specifications, Apple Insider reported.
According to Mac Rumors, which cites information that was revealed in December 2016 by the same analyst, the display of the iPad Air 3 will not be equipped with 3D Force Touch technology. As far as the other specs are concerned, the device will be powered by Apple A9X chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
The iPad Air 3 will apparently not be available in a 16 GB storage version, meaning the 32 GB variant will be the lowest storage variant. Rumours suggest that it will be lighter and thinner than the iPad Air 2. The iPad Air 3 as well as the iPhone 5se are rumored to be revealed during a launch event in March 2016.
As for the iPhone 7 specs, Kuo is of the view that it will be arriving with evolutionary features. It will be powered by a faster A-series chipset and will come with improved camera resolution and battery performance
The iPhone 7 is expected to arrive with a revamped design. Since the alleged smartphone will not feature a 3.5 mm audio jack, it will come with a thinner design than the iPhone 6S, and users will be able to listen to the music of the iPhone 7 through Bluetooth headset or by connecting a headphone to the Lightning port of the smartphone.
