Apple iPad Pro 2 release date, news & update: Bezel-less display, virtual Home button & A10X processor top focus
Rumours surrounding the Apple iPad Pro 2 are going strong for quite some time and now it seems that the device will come in three variants. A lot is being said about the rumoured bezel-less mid-sized 10.9-inch iPad Pro 2. If it exists, it is the first iPad to have such a display. However, there is a bit of confusion about the screen size of the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2.
Some believe that the next iPad Pro 2 will have a 10.1-inch display while KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has hinted at a 10.5-inch display. As per the Tech Times, the new model will target the business and education sector. Despite the display being larger, the size of the tablet will remain the same. It will have the same form factor as that of the 9.7-inch one.
The Apple iPad Pro 2 may also have the first virtual Home button embedded underneath the display. A special region on the screen will be dedicated to the Home button as Apple will let go of the physical Home button. While these are features are almost certain on the new iPad Pro 2, it may also sport a better processor. An A10X Fusion chipset is very much possible.
There is no information as regards the price of the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2. Considering the current price index, the new tablet may carry a price tag of US$699 (AU$930), writes The Bitbag. There is also no information on when the tablet will be released. Rumours suggest it will be introduced in March 2017.
While the current iPad Pro tablets have a maximum storage capacity of 256GB, fans want the upcoming iPad Pro 2 to have at least 512GB of storage space and also increase the RAM capacity.
