Apple iPhone 5 could be launched as early as August
Apple's iPhone 5 has generated a lot of rumors and buzz about it from its operating system to what it would look like. For eager fans there's one piece of gossip that has them salivating: that Apple will be announcing the next generation iPhone not at September but in "the beginning or middle of August" according to a Boy Genius Report.
The iPhone 5's release date has already been rumored to be in September- a traditional release date for new iPods but with users more or less not caring as much about the stand alone music player the added release of the iPhone will give the September date more excitement. The September date also means that Apple can cash in on the holiday season with the new iPhone.
The only thing that conspiracy nuts are sure about is that Apple didn't use the traditional June date to announce the new iPhone but a new iOS for a fall release. From this fans have deduced that Apple will release new hardware to match the new software. It's really simple: Apple will release iOS 5 in the fall so it stands to reason the new iPhone will also be released in the fall.
Other facts that users could take to draw their own theories about the new phone are that the new iPhone will not be an upgraded iPhone 4 and that it will have a dual core processor and a better camera. The Boy Genius Report also says that sources have revealed that the new iPhone will have a "radical new case design". This seems par for the course for Apple as they've had plenty of time to retool the current iPhone design.
An August even could be a treat for religious iPhone fanatics but for reasonable fans September would probably be better. One thing is for certain users will be getting a new phone when the iOS 5 is released in the fall.
