Apple's iPhone 5S and LG G2 were just recently launched. Both smartphones have high end features. They also feature the latest of their operating systems respectively. Which flagship device is better?

Construction and Framework Quality

Apple's iPhone has always been strong when it comes to design. The iPhone 5S features a similar deisgn standard known of the product line. The device sports a chic metal construction exuding a premium appeal.

LG's G2, on other hand, is not far behind. From afar, the large display of the phone can be seen easily. It has become prevalent among smartphones these days to have big screens and this is no difference. There are also minimal bezels around the display.

However, some people may not be pleased with LG's plastic design. It does not relay the same premium feeling as the 5S. In terms of design and appeal, iPhone 5S has a more premium appeal while G2 looks comparatively lower end in comparison.

LG has proven itself in terms of display quality. Apple has also even tapped the company before to product displays for its line of iPhone products. The LG G2 features a large 5.2 inch IPS (In-Plane Switching) display. It offers a screen resolution at 1920x1080. Pixel density is at 443 pixels per inch.

Apple's iPhone 5S sports a smaller screen. It comes with a 4 inch Retina display offering 1136x640 pixels. Pixel density is at 34i pixels per inch. This means LG's G2 is better when playing and viewing media. Apple has a smaller screen which may not be great for surfing and other viewing activities unlike in LG.

Smaller devices are more portable and easier to carry around. Apple's device is 14mm shorter, 12mm narrower and 1.3mm thinner. It is also lighter compared to the G2. Lately Apple has been expanding different colors like; Gold, Silver and Space Gray. This makes the device look more futuristic.

LG's smartphone comes in classic colors: black and white. The overall framework is appealing but the screen takes all the attention. The rear buttons on the device made it possible for LG to take away the side-facing buttons. This has also contributed to the overall appealing design.

The LG G2 boasts of power with its 2.26 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. iPhone 5S, on the other hand, feature 1.3GHz dual-core processor A7 processor and 1GB RAM. In terms of specs sheet, LG G2 can compete with Apple's iPhone.
