A plethora of new iPhone 6 rumors spin around and flood the Internet almost every week. Apple fans are quite eager to know the release date of the new generation iPhone despite the recent release of the iPhone 5s and 5c in September.

Although there are no official report at the moment, the iPhone 6's release date is expected in mid 2014. Features of the most anticipated device reportedly include longer battery life, improved camera, wraparound display and sapphire screen.

Latest reports noted the 6th generation iPhone will have 3D vision. Apple recently acquired PrimeSense, an Israeli company, which specializes in designing sensors that allow user interaction. The tech giant also acquired the company responsible for the Xbox Kinect sensor for $350 million. As rumors ran rampant about this acquisition, fans are assuming that motion sensor technology will be included into the 6th generation iPhone.

The iPhone 5s received a bunch of mocking criticisms about not having much difference with the iPhone 5. As such, the iPhone 6 is likely to have a design overhaul to satisfy Apple fans and keep them coming back.

During the release of the first iPhone, it had virtually no competition in the smartphone market. However, today there's a wide array of cheaper smartphones in the market to choose from like Samsung, HTC, Google, Nokia and Motorola. If the rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 6 will be packed with a lot of new and impressive features.

In the past, not all iPhone specs and features rumours a true. At this point, nothing is official yet but some suggests that the iPhone 6 will be significantly more expensive than the iPhone 5s. It may cost $100 more than its predecessor because of its new features, faster chipset, larger display and the company's desire for high profit margins.

Chris Caso, a Susquehanna analyst mentioned in a report, "We think Apple could get away with a $50 to $100 premium for a larger screen size iPhone 6. We think such a move could avoid the margin erosion that occurred when the iPhone 5 was launched."
