Apple's upcoming iPhone 6 enters the product validation stage according to recent supply chain information. This supports the September 9 launch with a new audio patent hinting at the possible thinner build. With the new audio patent in place, people can expect a slimmer iPhone 6 along with other iPad variants like the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. How will Apple's September go? Can people expect killer devices?

The most recent details about Apple iPhone 6's production came from Weibo with the user citing sources from Foxconn. According to the supply chain sources, the upcoming flagship device has entered product validation test or the PVT stage. This process allows Apple to identify potential problems and other flaws with the device following manufacture.

The Weibo user is Xiang Ligang according to G for Games. It was also noted that Apple finished producing a number of iPhone 6 units to undergo final quality control check.

In a new patent released by the US Patent & Trademark Office last August 14, 2014, Apple appears to be working on an audio technology that will allow it to slim down the body of the its devices. The patent goes by the title "Long-Throw Acoustic Transducer." According to the patent, the technology describes audio speaks featuring a moving magnetic piston. This serves as the sound producing element allowing devices to offer more vibrant sounds. Likewise, Apple also pointed out that technology will work well with acoustic transducers included often in "thin" units. In theory, the system was meant for the iPhone 6 including other mobile devices.

Specifically, the patent describes an acoustic transducer with a rectangular cross-section or circular cylinder housing. The housing sports two closely fit magnets attached and capable of offering high magnetic permeability. According to Patently Apple, the patent application goes by the 20140226849 with credits to Ruchir Dave, Scott Porter and Christopher Wilk.

Similar to other patents, the technology may or may not find its way to the actual product. Apple will reportedly launch the iPhone 6 this September 9.
