Apple iPhone 6 Release to Feature Remote Camera Control Plus Asynchronous Notifications: Will it be the Best Smartphone Yet?
Despite a few months more before its release, Apple's iPhone 6 has been a hot topic in the market already. Patent sightings and predictions suggest that the iPhone 6 could be one of the most interesting and powerful smartphones around. With its biggest rival releasing the Samsung Galaxy S5, the pressure is on Apple to deliver something even better. Can the Cupertino-based company deliver?
Apple CEO Tim Cook has been under scrutiny since he took the job post. Apple has suffered from a slump getting behind by competitors with a multitude of product releases. Despite the limited product releases, Apple managed to remain on top of the pack though this is continually threatened by new releases from other companies.
It appears Tim Cook and the rest of Apple wants to make sure they solidify that position once more with the upcoming Apple iPhone 6. Many sources have pointed out the patents granted to Apple and each day it appears the iPhone 6 will feature more functions and features never before seen and beyond the standard smartphones today.
For instance, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published another Apple patent grant about a remote camera control and asynchronous notifications. The patent describes using wireless accessory to manage the camera functions of the iPhone. This will allow users to snap, preview and check photos even from a distance.
The patent goes by U.S. Patent No. 8,675,084 entitled "Systems and methods for remote camera control." The patent will also offer users with better ways to take "selfies" or self portraits. The patent offers a straightforward system. It pertains to a remote control that links to the iPod or iPhone through WiFi or Bluetooth. It can snap photos and capture video. Likewise, the accessory can also show the captured image through an embedded screen.
Another interesting point about the patent is its notifications system. The system tells the accessory the state of the camera. For instance, users can find out if the camera jut took a photo or something else. It also provides visual indications and UI changes. Reports indicate an August or September release as Apple appears to be pumping up production for fall.
