Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Video Compares Rumoured Phablet vs Existing Favourite [WATCH]
Some big smartphone or phablet owners are now wondering whether the new Apple iPhone 6 could beat the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (or the reportedly soon to be released Note 4) in specs and power.
The Apple iPhone 6 release date is expected later in the year. Leaked mock-ups of the 5.5-inch phablet are reportedly sprouting everywhere. It seems leaked photos are now the minimum as far as iPhone rumours go. YouTube's Lewis Hilsenteger uploads a video comparing the new Apple iOS phablet to a current market favourite, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, an Android device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs on Phone Arena says it sports a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, translating to a pixel density of 386 ppi. Its crisp screen boasts of the Super AMOLED HD technology, which many Samsung phone users thoroughly enjoy. The Apple iPhone 6, which will reportedly feature a 5.5-in screen, would fall right under the same phablet category as the Note 3.
Hilsenteger warns his mock-up of the Apple iPhone 6 may not be accurate, but those who follow iPhone reports are used to rumours reconciling with release date realities. Watch the video here or scroll down to play the clip.
Many Apple users are certain the iPhone 6 would not come with its own stylus pen. (The stylus is one of the most positively reviewed specs of the Galaxy Note series.) Still, the iPhone is expected to "look expensive" and "feel expensive" as its predecessors are often described.
Hilsenteger spots a couple of things in the Apple iPhone 6 dummy, which he compares to the current Apple flagship phone, the iPhone 5S: The power button moves from the top to the side. The rear camera protrudes a bit. The flash seems to indicate a new iPhone technology. Toward the end, Hilsenteger stresses that the things reviewers would see in a dummy may disappear in the actual device on release date.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system on chip with a Quad-Core 2.3GHz CPU (for the LTE variant). Its internal storage is supported by 3GB RAM, and users can expand their storage space to up to 64GB with a MicroSD. Its battery is Li-ion 3200mAh, which should translate to 25 hours of talk time. If the iPhone 6 boasts of much better specs, it is predicted to be a big win for Apple again.
Even without a stylus and an expandable storage, the iPhone 6 would attract phone shoppers with its "beauty" and the new Apple OS, the iOS 8. New OS on the newest generation of device makes sense for many.
The Apple iPhone 6 price is speculated to be more expensive by $100 than the iPhone 5S. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is currently priced at around AU$650 when bought outright.

By later this year, however, the iPhone 6 might be facing off with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 instead of Note 3. The battle of iOS and Android phablets begin.
